The M&A Explosion: Issues in Today’s Heated Market for Corporate Control
Mr. Fitzpatrick is a member of the Corporate Finance and Securities; Transactions; and Technology,
Entrepreneurial & Commercial Practice Client Service Groups. His practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and corporate recapitalizations and restructurings relating to both public and private businesses. He has extensive experience with debt and equity financings, including venture capital transactions, and in negotiating, structuring and consummating strategic, as well as financially sponsored, mergers and acquisitions for the firm’s domestic and international clients. Mr. Fitzpatrick provides general corporate counsel and advice to a variety of clients, including venture, mezzanine, buy out and hedge funds, as well as operating companies in various industries, and has substantial experience representing not-for-profit organizations. His corporate finance background includes expertise related to tax-exempt bonds and structured financings and he regularly counsels clients on corporate governance issues. He also is very knowledgeable about the trading of distressed loans and claims of financially troubled companies.
Prior to joining Bryan Cave, Mr. Fitzpatrick was a corporate law associate at Dewey Ballantine LLP. Prior to attending law school, he was a credit analyst and commercial lending officer at The Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A., where he graduated with distinction from the Chase Credit Training Program. |
