Fresh Change Food Group
 | Brian Mirsky was born and raised in Ottawa. He comes from an entrepreneural background. His grandfather, a Russian immigrant founded Pure Spring, a bottled soft drink company in 1909. After World War II, his father, a lawyer by training with a Marketing bent, and his uncle took over the reins and built the company to become the largest independent soft drink company in Canada.
Brian obtained an undergraduate degree in 1976 from the University of Toronto and an MBA in Marketing in 1978 from York University.
Brian was first employed with the H.J. Heinz Company as an Assistant Product Manager, Ketchup. He rose through the Marketing ranks to a General Management position. He held similar positions with Pillsbury Canada and Campbell Soup. The last corporate role that he held was as President, Campbell Soup in Europe. The division generated $1.1 billion in sales and had three thousand employees across six different countries.
In 2006, Brian left Campbell Soup and founded Fresh Change Foods Group, based in Toronto. Fresh Change invests and works with privately owned food companies across North America that seek strategic, operational or capital support in order to accelerate growth. The company only invests in “good for you” branded food businesses that are market leaders in their categories.
