With extensive experience in the natural resources sector, Mr. Sigel focuses his recruitment initiatives on sustainability programs within the renewable energy sector, as well as on the information technology/telecommunications field.

Prior to joining Korn/Ferry, he served as senior vice president and general counsel to Commercial Alcohols, Inc., Canada’s largest producer of fuel ethanol and industrial/ beverage grade alcohol.

Before this, Mr. Sigel was a senior partner with Baker & McKenzie, the world’s largest international law firm. During his tenure there, he participated as a partner in the firm’s senior global management committees and co-founded its Toronto office.

Mr. Sigel has lectured extensively at the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, and at the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of the University of Pennsylvania, as well as an executive professor in residence at the Schulich School of Business at York University and a lecturer in International Strategic Planning in the School’s IMBA Program.

Mr. Sigel holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor of laws/juris doctor degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto.
