ADMISSION CRITERIA

To be eligible for consideration, each applicant must meet the general admission criteria outlined below.

Each candidate is judged on their own merits with due consideration given to the criteria set out below. The strength of the application is also assessed on other considerations including management experience, leadership potential, entrepreneurial experience, communication skills, creativity, involvement in community and extracurricular activities and other factors that may contribute to future success.

Academic Background:
First Class Standing in either of the following:
  • A three year Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree
  • A four year Bachelor’s degree (e.g. BEng, BPharm, BArch, MBBS)
For candidates who have studied at an accredited degree granting institution in India

GMAT Score:
  • Acceptable scores on all measures of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
Relevant Work Experience:
  • Two years of relevant full-time work experience (post-undergraduate degree)
References:
  • Two recommendations
English Proficiency:
  • Proof of English language proficiency (if English was not language of degree study)
Formal Interview:
  • Successful candidates must pass a formal interview process
Apply on-line at www.schulich.yorku.ca/apply and submit:
  • Application and supplementary essays
  • Two recommendations
  • Official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
  • Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended (transcripts to be sent directly to Schulich from the issuing institution)
  • Detailed résumé of employment history
  • Application fee
  • Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable)

APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants must apply on line to the Schulich School of Business, as indicated above. Official documents e.g. transcripts, GMAT etc. should be sent to the address below.

Eligible applicants are sent an offer of admission. Once this offer has been received, applicants must confirm their intent to attend the Schulich School in a letter sent to Graduate Admissions, Schulich School of Business and make a
non-refundable deposit ($2,500 CDN). The deposit will be applied towards the applicant's academic fees in their first term.

APPLICATION DEADLINES

Early submission of your application is highly recommended for first offers of scholarship opportunities. International visa students are encouraged to apply by the August 1 deadline to allow time to obtain student visas. However, applications will be accepted up to October 30th. Applications are assessed on a rolling admissions basis. Late applications will be accepted after the deadline on a space available basis.

CONFIRMATION OF ACCEPTANCE

An offer of admission must be confirmed in writing within 30 days. Failure to do so will result in a withdrawal of the offer of admission. For all full-time students, a deposit of $2,500 CDN is required with the confirmation form. This deposit will be credited towards the student's first term tuition fees but is
not refundable should the student decide not to register in our program.
