Key Dates
The following information will help you in planning your course enrolments and outlines key dates to be mindful of.
Term Codes- Each course offered in a particular session (Fall, Winter or Summer) is identified by a term which has a specific start and end date, exam period, as well as specific deadlines for adding and dropping the course.
- For example, an "F2" term course is held in the Fall session. It begins in early September, and ends in December. An “A” term course is held in first six weeks of the Fall session and ends in October; an “M” term is held in the last six weeks of the Fall session and ends in December.
- Schulich Graduate courses are normally offered in the F2, FP, A or M terms (Fall Session), W1, W2, WP, C, C1 or N terms (Winter Session) or S, SW, E or G terms (Summer Session).
- Alternative terms are assigned for the two-term course MGMT 6100 3.00, as it spans two consecutive sessions. Each course's term is listed under Course Offerings.
Add and Drop Deadlines
- There are deadlines for adding and dropping courses, both academic and financial. Be sure to read the charts for each term below and refer to the Refund Tables so that you understand the financial and academic implications of adding or dropping a course.
- Pay close attention to the "Last date to enrol without permission" deadlines. These deadlines represent the last date students have unrestricted access to the online registration and enrolment system. After that date, enrolment in a course is only through the Schulich Student Services Office in W262, Schulich.
- You may drop courses up until the drop deadline. After that date, you will receive a grade for the course. Not attending classes does not constitute official withdrawal for either academic or financial purposes.
