The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) offers a comprehensive four-year honours business degree with a choice of ten specializations. In addition to core business courses, you will have the opportunity to take non-business electives each year. The BBA provides cutting-edge courses geared towards the shifting needs of our business world. At Schulich, your will be continuously challenged inside and outside the classroom to push you to achieve business excellence.
Admission to the BBA program is based on two equally weighted criteria:
- Academic Performance
- Supplementary Information Form

Ontario applicants must present an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum of six 4U and M courses including:
- 4U English (ENG4U)
- 4U Advanced Functions (MHF4U)
- 4U Calculus and Vectors (MCV4U) or 4U Mathematics of Data Management (MDM4U)
- No more than two 4M courses
- a minimum of 70% in ENG4U and MHF4U is required
International Baccalaureate (IB)
- If you are applying with an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma, you will need passes in six subjects (three at the Standard Level and three at the Higher Level OR two at the Standard Level and four at the Higher Level). A score of 38 (including bonus points) is recommended to be competitive. For more information, please visit the York Admissions website.
How to Apply
Prior to submitting your Supplementary Information Form, please make an official application to York University through the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC):- Applicants should apply to either the BBA or iBBA program on their OUAC application, not both. Please consider both programs and apply to the program that best suits your interests. The admission requirements are the same for both the BBA and iBBA programs.
- The BBA program is offered on a full-time basis for September entry only.
- Applicants interested in other York University programs should include their choices in their OUAC application in the event that they do not receive admission to Schulich.
- Applicants must also submit a Supplementary Information Form by the specified deadline:
- Direct-Entry (Year 1) - February 6, 2013
- Delayed-Entry (Year 2) – March 14, 2013
- Completed Supplementary Information Forms should be submitted directly to the Schulich School of Business (in person or by mail):

Transfer Credits
New direct-entry Schulich students are eligible to receive up to 12.00 transfer credits for previous studies in Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Higher level and/or Advanced level GCE courses, or Yeshiva studies. These credits would apply towards first and/or second year non-business elective credit.Direct-entry students applying for transfer credit are required to submit a transcript to the Schulich Undergraduate Programs Unit with a cover letter indicating your name, student number, mailing address and the program from which you believe you should receive credit (e.g. - I wish to receive transfer credit for AP courses). Final transcripts sent to the York Admissions Office will be forwarded to Schulich. For expedited processing, we encourage students to submit transcripts directly to Schulich. Transcripts can be sent by mail or delivered in person to the Undergraduate Programs Unit. Deadline to apply is the first week of August.

General Education Certificate (GCE)
Minimum of two Advanced Level (A-level) and three GCSE or IGCSE Ordinary Level (O-level) passes. Two Advanced Subsidiary Level (AS-level) courses may be substituted for one Advanced Level course. For more information, please click here.
International Baccalaureate (IB)

Limited spaces are available for applicants who have completed partial post-secondary education to enter Year 2 of our four-year program.Admission Requirements for Transfers within York
One full-year of university study (30.00 credits), including:- Microeconomics – AP/ECON 1000 3.00
- Macroeconomics – AP/ECON 1010 3.00
- Business and Society – AP/POLS 1090 3.00
- Calculus – SC/MATH 1550 6.00 or equivalent
- Database Applications - SC/CSE 1520 3.00
*To be competitive, applicants should have an overall A- average.
York students will need to pick up an Application and Information package from the Undergraduate Programs Unit (W262P) at the Schulich School of Business.
The following courses will not be counted in the 30.00 credits required for admission:
- All ADMS Courses
- SC/MATH 1510 3.00, SC/MATH 1515 3.00, SC/MATH 1710 6.00, SC/MATH 2560 3.00, SC/MATH 1131 3.00 and/or their equivalents
Admission Requirements for External University Applicants
One full year of university study (equivalent to 30.00 York credits) including the equivalent of:- Introduction to Microeconomics
- Introduction to Macroeconomics
- Business and Society
- Calculus
- Database Applications
*To be competitive, applicants should have an overall A- average.
Please note:
- Individual assessments cannot be made until an applicant has formally applied and submitted official documents
- Applicants must make an effort to match prerequisite courses to York offered courses by comparing year levels and course descriptions.
- High school academics cannot be used to waive the above-mentioned university-level courses used for admission into our Delayed Entry program.
Other post-secondary educated applicants including college transfers are only considered if they have completed a full-time, three-year college diploma including the equivalent of:
- Introduction to Microeconomics
- Introduction to Macroeconomics
- Calculus
- Business and Society
- Database Applications
- Overall ‘A’ average
