Will my application be considered if I am missing some materials, such as a GMAT score, or letters of reference?
Only applications that are complete will be evaluated.
Do I need an Interview?
All candidates considered for the Schulich MBA in India must complete a formal interview as part of the admissions process.
What are the admission criteria for the Schulich MBA in India?

In our inaugural year in Hyderabad, offers of admission will be made to Indian nationals only and the class size will be limited. In future years, we hope to broaden the geographic reach of the program to include students from all over Asia and around the world. Non-Indian applicants interested in a Schulich MBA should direct their applications to either the Full-Time or Part-Time MBA program in Toronto. As an Indian national, why would I choose the Schulich India MBA over the full-time program in Toronto?
The Schulich MBA in India enables students to spend a shorter period of time abroad by taking the first year of the MBA in India. This may be advantageous to students who have obligations that make it challenging to be out of the country for a two year period.
The Schulich curriculum is global in focus, regardless of the program a student is taking. The Schulich MBA in India, however, benefits students seeking a deeper exposure to the business issues in India and North America as well as those seeking to build networks in both India and North America.
I was accepted in the Fall MBA program at Schulich. Can I redirect my acceptance to the Schulich MBA in India?
Eligible candidates may also apply to the Schulich MBA in India. Placement in the Fall program at Schulich, however, does not guarantee acceptance into the Schulich MBA in India also starting in September 2013.
B. PROGRAM OVERVIEW, REGISTRARIAL & ENROLMENT DETAILS
What supports will be available to me as a student in the Schulich MBA in India?
The Schulich MBA in India Executive Director, Ashwin Joshi, PhD, will play an important leadership role in the program, ensuring that the classroom experience reflects the needs of the students and the demands of the marketplace. He will work with students on issues that emerge related to the curriculum and will ensure that student feedback, as it relates to the academic program, is addressed.
The Associate Director of Student Services and International Relations will also be an important resource for students. This individual will orient new students, provide one-on-one academic advising throughout their studies and ensure a smooth transition from India to Toronto.
The Richard Waugh Career Development Centre (CDC) at Schulich is in place to assist all Schulich students in meeting their career objectives and will offer important services tailored to students in the Schulich MBA in India program.
As students join the Schulich community in Toronto, there will be many student led initiatives to welcome students to Toronto and into their second year of studies.
Who will be teaching the Schulich MBA in India?
This fully integrated program will provide a rich and challenging learning environment which strikes a balance between academic rigour and managerial relevance. Throughout the Schulich MBA in India, students will be taught in person by leading Schulich faculty.
Foundational to all courses taught in the Schulich MBA in India is a commitment to the triple bottom line, which encompasses economic, social, and environmental considerations applied to business decisions. Students will also be exposed a blend of “soft” managerial skills and technical skills that will position them for success in today’s rapidly changing and complex business environment.
When is the start date of the program in 2013?
The program starts in India in September 2013 and runs until April 2014. Students travel to Toronto for an Integration Module and the MBA 2 in mid August.
Can I study part-time?
This is a full-time program. International students are required to maintain full-time status throughout the duration of their studies.
Can I apply for advanced standing or waiver with replacement for any core courses?
The Schulich MBA in India is a full-time two year program and students must complete take all of the courses outlined in the Schulich MBA in India curriculum.
Can I take a leave of absence during the program?
With the approval of the Student Affairs Committee, students may take up to a one year leave of absence.
What are the promotion standards for the program?
The promotion standards for the Schulich MBA in India and Schulich MBA are identical. To maintain their standing in the program, all students must maintain a GPA of at least 4.2 on a 9 point scale and a maximum of 1 F in a 3 credit course. Students’ GPAs will be assessed after Term 1 and each term thereafter. To graduate a student must achieve the required 4.4 GPA (B-).
What will my diploma say?
The Master of Business Administration diploma will be from York University, Schulich School of Business.
C. TUITION AND FUNDING
What funding is available to me throughout my studies?
Scholarships and Bursaries
Students in this class will receive scholarships and bursaries valued at $10000 (CAD) in year one and renewal of same in year two providing academic success.
Credila Indian Student Loan Program through GEMS
Credilia offers an International Student Loan Program for Indian Nationals through Global Education Management Services (GEMS). GEMS has partnered with York University to offer this program. It is designed to assist students from India who require funding for educational expenses.

D. CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Will I be able to work in Canada after I finish my degree?
Students have the opportunity to work in Canada for an extended period of time following the completion of their degree. For more information on Post Graduate Work Permits, visit the CIC Web site.
Will I be able to do an internship while in India?
It is expected that students will do an internship in India between April and mid August following Year 1.
