Business and Sustainability
Overview
Business operates in an increasingly complex setting. Environmental and social concerns are at the forefront of the new issues which are stretching the responsibilities of business and demanding new types of management thinking. These concerns first affected established industries in forestry products, chemicals and mining sectors. Today, however, they are impacting other manufacturers, retailing and service industries, and the financial sector.
One of the first of its kind in North America, the Erivan K. Haub Program in Business and Sustainability at Schulich is at the cutting edge of current best practice. The business and sustainability specialization equips students for general management and senior corporate positions, as well as for work in specialist environmental management or consulting posts.
For more information about the Program see the Centre of Excellence in Responsible Business website.

Executive Education
The Schulich School of Business has developed and run numerous successful executive education programs under the banner of the Sustainable Enterprise Academy (SEA). A program founded by the Erivan K. Haub Program in Business and Sustainability at the Schulich School of Business in 1999. SEA and sustainability executive training in general is now going to be led through the Schulich Executive Education Centre, and inquiries about course development and offerings should be directed to
Elaine Gutmacher,
Director, Operations,
Schulich Executive Education Centre

Telephone: 416-736-2100 ext. 22386
In addition, to the Business Leader Seminars which SEA had hosted, it also led in the development of a specific Academy for the K-12 Education sector. The resulting Sustainability and Education Academy (SEdA) hosts a series of Education Leader Seminars targeted directly to leaders in the school system. More information about this program can be found on their website.
