|Mr. Bruijns has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario, is a Professional Engineer and earned a MBA from the Ivey School of Business. He has over 20 years of senior management background and a diverse experience base in multiple industries. Mr. Bruijns joined BIOREM in 2007 from his post as President of the Stiller Centre for Technology Commercialization where he guided biotechnology start-up companies in their successful development and gave the center a premier national reputation. |
Previous to this role, Mr. Bruijns led a pioneering joint venture in Beijing, China in the healthcare field where he was responsible for negotiations, financing, design and construction as well as on the ground operations management of the first private hospital in China. Rounding out his experience were executive leadership roles in construction, sales, manufacturing, design & engineering with companies such as Sutherland-Shultz and Glendale RV.
Mr. Bruijns has lived in China for 3 years and has travelled well over 75 times over the past 16 years to China.
Biorem is a clean technology air pollution control company based in Guelph, Ontario with operations in 18 countries around the world. The company has established 2 WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) in China for the purposes of developing new business and supply chain integration in Asia.
