The Bachelor of Business Administration program at the Schulich School of Business provides a thorough, rigorous education in management, combined with a broad liberal arts education.

Schulich-based core management courses emphasize the development of students’ critical analysis and communication skills within the context of management studies. Starting in Year 1 with courses such as Business History, Ethics, Social Responsibility and Sustainability in Business, and Managing a Contemporary Enterprise, the four years of the BBA program encompass the full breadth of management studies.

Management courses are taken sequentially, with each one building on the courses already completed. In Years 3 and 4, students can use Schulich-based management elective courses to specialize in one or more areas, including: accounting, economics, marketing, finance, operations management and information systems, organization studies, entrepreneurial and family business studies, international business and strategic management. Non-management electives also allow students to choose from a broad range of offerings in York’s other Faculties in areas such as humanities, social science, environmental studies, natural science and fine arts.
