Real Estate and Infrastructure

Real estate and infrastructure represents one of the largest industry sectors locally, nationally and internationally and encompasses business enterprises that range from investment and asset management to the development of residential, industrial, office, and retail uses to highways, transit major public facilities and underground supply networks. The program in Real Estate and Infrastructure provides MBA students with the opportunity to pursue careers throughout Canada and abroad. Graduates of the program occupy senior level management and ownership positions in development companies, advisory firms, financial institutions, corporations and consulting practices.

The program attracts students from many countries and alumni of the program are located throughout the world. Graduates are deemed to have met the academic requirements for membership in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a highly respected international professional designation.

Courses in the program provide the requisite skills and knowledge for those who have chosen real estate or infrastructure as a career. Students may pursue Real Estate and Infrastructure as a concentration in the MBA or as a Diploma in addition to the MBA. Students are urged to take one or more of the Fall PROP courses before enrolling in the Winter PROP courses. Instruction combines theory and practice as well as relying extensively upon resources within the industry practices and cases. Students also have the opportunity to pursue a summer internship program.
